- Rice flour - 1 cup
 - Gram flour - 1/2 cup
 - Red chilli powder -1 tablespoon
 - Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
 - Salt - as per taste
 - Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon *
 - Melted Butter - 11/2 tablespoon
 - Water 1/2 cup
 
*  Take 2 pods of garlic and grind it a fine paste witha little water.filter that water and add to the required amount of water.
Preparation
- Take the rice flour, gram flour in a vessel.
 - Add the red chili powder, asafetida, salt, melted butter to it and mix it well.
 
- Add the garlic water to it and mix it to make it to a dough similar to chapati dough.
 
- Fit the murukku press with the ribbon pakoda making disc.
 - Take a little dough and fill the murukku press with the dough.
 - Heat enough oil for deep frying.
 - Press the dough directly in the oil in circular motion.
 - Once the sound reduces , turn it over and fry it till it becomes golden brown.
 - Remove it and drain it in the paper towel.
 - Store it in an airtight container and enjoy with a cup of hot tea/coffee.
