Ingredients
- Peanut Butter (Creamy) - 1/4 cup
- Icing Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Semi sweet chocolate chips - 250 grams
- Vegetable oil or shortening - 1/2 tablespoon
Preparation:
- Melt the chocolate chips and the vegetable oil in a microwave till it is melted and smooth and shiny.
- Heat the peanut butter and butter in a microwave till it becomes soft for about 30 seconds.
- Add the icing sugar to it and mix it well.
- Line the muffin pan with cupcake wrappers.
- Spoon one teaspoon of the melted chocolate into each of the paper cups.
- Tap the muffin pan on the counter multiple times to make the chocolate smooth.
- Spoon one teaspoon of the peanut butter mixture on top of the chocolate.
- Now top it up with another teaspoon of the melted chocolate.
- Tap the muffin pan again on the counter to smooth out the peanut butter and chocolate.
- Keep it refrigerated for about an hour.
- Once they are set, store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Yummy and delicious peanut butter cups are ready.
Note: In case you do not have or do not want to use paper cups, not to worry. Just use the ice cubes tray and fill them up as mentioned above and call them peanut butter squares :) . Just make sure that you grease the trays with vegetable oil before filling them up. They are as delicious as the peanut butter cups.
